For more than 30 years, God has given me the privilege of caring for fully orphaned and semi-orphaned children, providing them with love, shelter, education, and hope for a brighter future. This calling has shaped my life, my ministry, and my heart.
Recently, during a ministry visit to Uganda, the Lord opened my eyes to a deeper burden. I saw children precious sons and daughters suffering not only from poverty and hunger but also from the painful reality of HIV and its impact on their lives. Many of them have lost one or both parents. Many have no one to stand with them.
In that moment, God placed a new vision and holy burden in my heart:
To be a shelter.
To be a family.
To be the hands and feet of Jesus.
